S = PLS!!!!

okay so back into the swing of things.

on thursday we practised our solos. duh what elses?

okay so whilst practisding my scenes over and over (as you do) i realsied that one particular scene didnt fit well where it was. like it was just randomly places there. which, im afraid to say it was. i thoguht of a good idea and i worte it donw so sue me!… or rather dont. so i fixed ti up and put it somehwere more apporpriate. so it gives you a better look at my primary character beofre swithing to my secondary character. so it went form being my 6th scene to my 2nd. oh yeah i just rembered! in my last post i think it was i said how i kept forgetting a new scene that i put in. THAT WAS THE SCENE!!! wow co-inky-dink! ooh maybe why i kept forgetting it was because i placed it wrong to begin wiht.

whlist practising my scenes i kinda of drifted off my script. im not saying i forgot lines. (actually i did once or twice. oops) but more like i improvised and added new ones. so i added to my script. and the stuff i added was really good. well… i think so anywayz. i cant belive i didnt have it in there orginaly!

and we watched top acts again. wow there sooooo good. but thats not my point. it really helped me wiht ideas on how to do a transition or switch between characters. cuase i was thinking when i was practsing that it was a bit crappy. so hopefully what i learnt i will be able to use to make changes smoother.

so next lesson (2moz), our last lesson. i am to fix up switching characters and locations smoother and to work more on the dramatic elements. i have sound and thats pretty good its mainly is just tow sceens and i think i have a bit of rthym. so ill work on those.

yeah yeah yeah i know it took me ages to blog but i have my reasons.
so lets just get the important stuff shall we?

right so on friday almost everyone was asleep cause it was period one. so we did a bit of warm up and then went inot acting our solos.

right so. i pratised all my solo a few times over and flick watched it and gave me some feed back and then i watched hers. its good to have someone elses point of view cuase they can point out things that you didnt even notice.
yeah so people were doing their solos and then gathering in little groups to help out one anohter. ah… drama bonding…….

ummm… yeah so i went throught my solo but i keep forgetting a resent scene i added. darn it! >:(
oh and doing my second scene made me feel even worse! (i was (and still am sick))
ummm… but yeah it was a very porductive lesson cause i went thourght they solo and biutl up some confidence wiht it.

lets get right into it shall we?

solo progress:

in todays drama lesson we actually, get this…..ACTED!!!!!! *gasps*
so yeah i practised a few scenes ummm… it was wierd, as acting solos are, becuase there was two rooms full of people talking to themselves.
so i need to practise that soem more tonight because we only have classes left!
i kinda spend though my scenes which wasnt good. i wanted to try out as many as possible but then i wasnt doing them well so i went back over the first a few times. so i wasnt rushing them as much and they were better and i got a bit more confidence wiht those first couple of scenes.

oh and before that we did a get into character mode type thing. i cant remember the excat phrase for that but meh…
ummm… so yes we were our chareters and thats pretty awesome. lol my charater has his own walk!

here’s what i learnt about my character this lesson:
first of all i gave him a name Timithy Connor
he has a kind of casual walk- nothing suss so no one would suspect him of anything bad *cough stealling cough*
he’s poliet appon first meeting people- to sucker and lure them inso he can trick them.
sits kind of alone and umm… whats the word? oh i cant think of it. he huggs his kness to his chest for warmth, comfort and protection.
only feels at home on the street.
avoids the subject of what he does for a living and where he lives around strangers but is open to friends.
close to others like him and is loyal to his friends.
poliet and sneaky on the outside, tough exteriour devloped form years on the streets for survial. on the inside hes scared, vunurable and alone. hes wants to change, to be normal but his life on the street will always be wiht him.
and he envys the rich.

thats alot for one lesson huh?
i dunno maybe other peopel learnt more. oh and when i was trying to focus on Timmy ( lol timmy)( i dont know why thats funny…..) i could like see a picture of him in my mind and like where he would hang out and how he would act in my scenes. well i think thats awesome!

umm… oh yeah and i finished writing down my last tow scenes. i was right! the 2nd last was the longest.
ummm… oh yeah i hate my last scene. i dunno i just do. i think i should cut a bit form it. *cuts bit from it* * reads over it* yeah thats better. its still a bit meh… corny and blah but its better. it just didnt seem to fit.

right ummm… okay.

so in todays lesson (which seems like such along time ago for me evne though i just got home)
i worte my script. like an actual( well kinda) one instead of bits here and there when i was describing my scenes.

so i worte my script ( duh you just said that) for all my scenes except the last two. and like the second last is gogin to be the biggest. well… maybe the last but i havnet written that bit yet but i know where im gogin wiht it….
oh yeah i i worte down in my script some of the blocking and getures eg. *kneels on ground* *holds out hand* yadda yadday yadda…

rihgt so im gogin to finish my script because in “thursdays class were ACTING!” acordign to the almighty white bord. (leave me alone i cant spell!)

Rihgt so… ive benn lokking throught the assemsent criteria and ive benn checking what i have
okay so:
focus *tick* (well hopfully)
Expressive skills *tick*
Tensions and timeing- needs work
Use of space *tick*\
Application of stagecraft *tick*
Use of symobol *tick*
Evidence of two dramatic element- needs work (but technicly i already have that cause of focus and space lol.)

so that means that i have to choose form:
Rythm, constst, mood, conflict and climax (because didnt we say that lanuage is alredy gone because of making scrpits or soemrthing like that?)
isnt that a long list! *sarcasim*

oh yeah and im using a secondary charatcer!

umm… yeah…..

ok so we worked on our solos in class for the first time in a loooooooong time. (yay SACs over!)
seriosly I’ve worked more on my solo when we had private study in Re!
umm… so anywayz as i said last time i had written bits of scenes and some dialouge. well in this lesson i worked some more on the scenes and made little changes and i made a new one wiht some dialouge for my secondary character! (excitedment! :P)
oh yeah and so we have had a few changes to the solo outline. we can now have 2ndary characters and we cna preform in the first week back.

righto so i figured out that my primary character (lol drama speak) is a boy and my secondary charater is a girl.

umm… ive had some idaes for costumes. like shabby clothes that are getting to short for me. oooh maybe i could put some holes in clothes. or sew on some patches! MUhahahah! *runs wiht scissors*
ummm….so….

oh i could tell you guys what my scenes are like so far! is that a good idea? *readers dont pay much attention because they are getting freaked out by wierd writer*
OMG VIOLIN SOLO!!!!!!!! sorry its a cool song…

right focus! (lol anohter drama term) *reader “that is sooo not funny!” *rolls eyes**

okay so we open up wiht me sweaping the street (” you might be a king or a little street sweaper, but sooner or later you dance wiht the reeper.” lol LOVE that movie!!) out side pplz shops to get some ‘ca-ching’ $$$ lol freaky song just went “Just give me money!”

then we go to me stitting outside on a cold night shivrering and asking for money. i dont wanto to tell you all of that scene cause it will ruin it. oh but theres a few symbols in that scene!

next one. im talking to a friend about how hard it is on the streets sometimes yadda yadda yadda. i have to work on that one.

then im selling some newspappers and i….*dramatic pause*… tune in next week… lol nah jk. i pick pocket this guy.

ummm…then he catches me and gives me a talking too. while i pleade wiht him and praticly tell him my whole life story. *reader yawns*

ummm….thats about as much as i’ve done for my primary.

but for my secondary character i only have one scene so far. or at least one bit. umm…so she takes some flowers from this old ladys house to sell at the market so she can take care fo her sick mum.

ooooooooooh and i also had the idea that my primary and secodary character could meet each ohter! lol small world.

ok so wow. new year new blog on vine blogs.
AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!

okay so at first i had to figure out how to get writing in here because when i logged in i got my old blog. but no real drama (lol drama on a drama blogs site! hahaha….yeah ok that was lame…) i figured it out! you can all stop worring now!!!!

right so what has happend so far….

worked on the “dramatic elements” lol our bus stop scene was getting mental! in a good way. i mena whats not great bout snot, ants, fake dead people, crazy people, screaming, a slo-mo scene, pick pocketing and The Wizard Of Oz?!

anywayz…..
oh yeah so were doding a SAC on this play “Destin” on Tuesday.
okay so before i go all drama speak on you let me just say…..
BRILLIANT!!!!! (i was going to say awesome but i already used awesomeness b4 so…)
they way they used lgihting and sound was amazing! They used lgiht to make sets in a way! how cool is that?!
the over lapping of the countesses 3 parts was an excellent way making conflict and tension.
symblos were great! the cage to symblose the countesses intrapment.
roses and boots to symbloise all the soilders lives she had taken
omg and the sand! like the asjes of the dead and time.
but enogh about that. this is supoposed to be about solos.

anywayz… this is the solo stuff:
so i reasearched some stuff on sub cutlures. (oh yeah the solo is on sub cutlures) (that was imporatnt and i totaly almost left it out! ooops!)
so i did some reasearch on: punks, rockabilly, greasers, valley girl and umm… there was other i think….or was that it?
anywayz form there i narrowed it down to greasers (think grease or the outsiders) and valley girl (think valley girl and clueless)
but as soon as cashy said what the solo was ment of be on i emdiently thought a street erchin type character. and i did some reasearch on that so i desided to stick wiht my oridianl idea and go wiht street urchin (think oliver minus the song and dance numbers…)

so i gotted down some ideas for some scenes and wrote whats goging to happen in said scenes and pathces of dialouge and that what ive done so far.
